Description:
This particular hike starts at Cruz del Carmen through the entrancing forest of bays and heath trees Las Mercedes. Ascending via Las Carboneras to the cavern village Chinamada you will enjoy beautiful vistas onto the wild Anaga mountains and the entire north shore.
This is where the people of today, as Tenerife’s natives then, called the Guanches, live in cavern houses and build terraces. We return after a picnic that provides us with new energy. The roundtrip takes us, passing by the anticline, back to the starting point Cruz del Carmen.
