The mountain of the South – Roque del Conde
Description:
The distinctive Conde (1.001m) is, as for its view, one of the most beautiful mountains in the south of Tenerife. On the plateau we overlook the western and southern coast up to Gala’s summit in the Teno mountains if weather conditions are clear. To enjoy this particular view we hike up onto narrow and partly steep paths (that are originally used by mules and goats). En route we pass by abandoned farms and terraces that meanwhile are not cultivated anymore.

Arona – Conde - Arona

Character:
Moderate hike, partly narrow and steep tracks with loose stones, steady steps for descent required – 8 km, approximate altitude difference of 500 m up- and downwards – 4 hrs (just hiking)
