What to visit and see in Tenerife?

Tenerife is an island of contrasts, offering everything from stunning volcanic  landscapes to lush laurel forests. With countless activities, it is ideal for both  adventure lovers and those seeking cultural experiences and relaxation.

Visit and discover the ascent to Teide National Park

Teide National Park, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to Teide, the  highest peak in Spain at 3,715 meters. It can be explored on foot via the Montaña  Blanca trail, a challenging 11 km route that can take up to six hours.

For those preferring easier access, the Teide Cable Car offers a comfortable option  that takes visitors to La Rambleta at 3,555 meters in just eight minutes. From here,  those wishing to reach the crater must obtain special permits due to the limited  number of daily visitors allowed.

Excursions to other islands like La Gomera and La Laguna

Visiting La Laguna is essential for culture lovers, as its historic center is a UNESCO  World Heritage Site, filled with colonial architecture and a vibrant Canary  atmosphere. Another option is to take an excursion to La Gomera. Accessible by  ferry, the island is famous for Garajonay National Park, an impressive laurel forest  offering unique hiking routes.

The best places to swim in Tenerife

Among the best beaches on the island is Playa de las Teresitas, known for its  golden sand and calm waters, making it perfect for a relaxing day. The Cliffs of Los  Gigantes provide a spectacular setting to enjoy the views. More natural are the tidal  pools or natural swimming pools in the north of the island. In Bajamar, visitors can  find one of these saltwater pools that can be enjoyed in the municipality of La  Laguna.

Discover the majesty of Barranco de Masca

Barranco de Masca is one of the most challenging and exciting hiking routes in  Tenerife. The hike begins in the picturesque village of Masca and descends through  mountainous landscapes to the sea. At the end of the hike, it is common to return  by boat or water taxi, offering views of the Cliffs of Los Gigantes, a perfect  complement to the adventure.

Dolphin and whale watching in Tenerife

The waters near the Cliffs of Los Gigantes are known to be an excellent spot for  dolphin and whale watching. This activity allows visitors to observe these species

up close in their natural habitat, making Tenerife a unique destination for marine  wildlife enthusiasts.
