Route of the hike
You climb from a level of 3.550m (upper mountain station of the cable car) round about 170 high meters over lava flows and rocks. This tour brings you to high mountain area over 3.500 m on partly prepared trails and over lava underground. The ascent is quite steep.
After having climbed the Teide summit, you stop for some more photos next to the famous rock formation Roques de Garcia. Here you will discover more of the amazing lunar landscape of the National Park.
Details of the tour
Transfer from start to end of the tour. All our hiking tours on Tenerife are organized with a tour guide in your language, who can inform you about Tenerife’s insights, flora and fauna and much more. We only work together with qualified guides who have lived on the island for many years or people who are locals from the island.
Prices
This tour costs 80,- € per person.
Extra costs 40,- € for the cable car for a return ticket, the special Fast-Track Ticket, to skip the line, is organized by us and can be paid directly at the entrance of the cable car.
Children up to 11 years pay only 50%.
Guide and Transfer
English speaking tour guide, transfer from/to your hotel in the south of Tenerife (Los Cristianos, Las Americas and Costa Adeje, please ask for other meeting points.)
Extra costs are 40,00€ p.p. for a return ticket (up and down). In case that the cable car should not work due to strong winds or extreme climatic conditions we organize an alternative hike in the National Park.
There is no refund of the tour price.
Details of the hike
Climb and ascent on loose lava stones and over rocks.
Duration of the tour: approx. 7 hours with bus transfer, breaks and photo stops. The hike is about 1,5h.
Difference of level: ↑ 170 m ↓ 170 m
Technique and Condition
This tour is not suitable for guests with vertigo as well as problems with knees or joints.
Please note that on this tour symptoms of high mountain sickness could occur!

Equipment
Hiking shoes or boots as well as hiking sticks can also be hired. Make your reservation! (3,- € per pair and 1,- € per stick)

For the Teide summit tours you have to bring your original passport or ID. The mountain permit to access the Teide peak is organized by us and included in the price.
Accident insurance for all participants is included in the tour price.
We recommend a small backpack.
